Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:
We at DERNA FACILITIES MANAGEMENT COMPANY are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, inspect, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyors, valves).
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize production disruptions.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to support equipment upgrades and modifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum [2-5] years of experience in a mechanical technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures effectively.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
