Accounting Head

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial laws.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Establish, monitor, and improve internal financial controls and procedures.

Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general accounting staff.
Define team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support staff development and training.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Provide variance analysis and insights to support decision-making and cost control.

Cash Flow & Asset Management

Monitor company cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
Ensure proper asset management, depreciation, and inventory accounting procedures.

System & Process Optimization

Evaluate and implement accounting systems, ERP solutions, and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification required.
8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
