Job Summary:
The AutoCAD Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and technical drawings using AutoCAD software. This role combines design proficiency with cost analysis to support bidding, budgeting, and planning for supermarket equipment refrigiration display cabinets, frezer, warehouse solution (Racking)

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on drawings and specifications.
• Create, modify, and review technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
• Analyze architectural and engineering plans to determine scope, materials, and cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with supplier, customer and project managers to clarify project requirements.
• Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost accuracy.
• Prepare bid packages, take-offs, and quantity estimates for tenders and proposals.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, templates, and documentation.
• Review completed projects to compare estimated costs versus actual expenditures for process improvement.
• Ensure all drawings and estimates comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator and AutoCAD drafter
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of insulation, labour costs, and estimating methods.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
