Accounts Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer at a leading Construction Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on managing financial records, reports, and budgets specific to the construction industry. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, while working closely with project managers and Site Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management: Oversee and manage the company’s financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to prepare budgets for construction projects, track expenses, and provide regular forecasts on financial performance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow projections.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify any discrepancies, and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficient resource utilization.
• Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT, and corporate taxes according to the Laws of KSA.
• Vendor Management: Process and track payments to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely settlement of invoices.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
• Communication: Liaise with project managers and senior management to ensure the financial health of construction projects and address any financial concerns.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Accounts Officer, Accountant, or in a similar financial role, ideally within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software Tally.
• Understanding of construction-specific financial processes, such as progress billing, cost tracking, and job costing.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements within the construction sector.
