Job Title: Joinery Floor Manager / Production Manager
Job Overview:
The Joinery Floor Manager/Production Manager oversees all aspects of the joinery production process, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, on-time delivery, and efficient operations. This role involves managing the production floor, coordinating with the design and project teams, and ensuring the workshop is operating at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management: Supervise the joinery production floor, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.
Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of all joinery products, ensuring they meet design and client specifications.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance and productivity.
Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of materials, tools, and machinery to optimize production and minimize waste.
Scheduling & Planning: Plan and schedule production to meet deadlines, ensuring a smooth workflow from start to finish.
Health & Safety: Ensure the production floor adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of materials, supplies, and finished products, ensuring stock levels are adequate for production needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of joinery projects.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on production progress, delays, and issues to senior management.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or production management, with a solid understanding of the joinery process.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with joinery tools, machinery, and CAD software is a plus.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a production environment.
Education: Relevant qualifications in joinery, carpentry, or production management (optional).
