Temporary IT Technician

ATTENTION!: This is a Temporary position, for Omani Residents only. No visa will be provided.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Technician for a short-term temporary project. The primary responsibilities will include network cabling, installation, and setup of networking equipment.

Responsibilities:

Cabling Installation & Management:

Install, terminate, and test network cables (Ethernet, fiber optics, etc.) to ensure proper connectivity and performance.
Organize and label cables for easy identification and maintenance.


Network Setup & Configuration:
Set up and configure wired and wireless networks (Wi-Fi) at event venues, including routers, switches, and access points.
Ensure proper connectivity and optimize network performance.


Hardware Installation:
Install and configure basic networking hardware such as patch panels, wall jacks, and racks for structured cabling systems.


Troubleshooting:
Test and troubleshoot cabling and network connections to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
Perform basic troubleshooting of networking hardware.

Technical Skills:
Cabling Expertise:
Knowledge of structured cabling standards and techniques (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics).
Ability to use tools like cable testers, crimpers, and punch-down tools.


Networking Knowledge:
Experience with network hardware installation and configuration (e.g., routers, switches, access points).
Basic understanding of LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networking principles.


Attention to Detail:
Ability to ensure neat and organized cabling for long-term reliability and easy maintenance.


Requirements:
Proven experience in cabling and network setup.
Familiarity with testing and troubleshooting tools for networking.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
