Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install air conditioning systems, including ducted, split, and centralized systems, as per manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
Test newly installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
Maintenance:
Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep AC systems in optimal working condition.
Clean, inspect, and replace air filters, coils, and other components as needed.
Check refrigerant levels and refill or repair leaks if necessary.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose malfunctions or breakdowns in AC systems and determine the necessary repairs.
Replace defective parts, such as compressors, fans, or electrical components.
Repair or replace wiring, motors, and control systems to restore functionality.
Testing and Calibration:
Test system performance after repairs or maintenance to ensure proper operation.
Calibrate thermostats and control systems for accurate temperature regulation.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents or damage.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly regarding refrigerants.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance.
Provide detailed reports to supervisors or clients on completed work and system conditions.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Offer advice on energy efficiency and system upgrades to improve performance.
