Pipe Fitter

Job Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Assembly:
- Install and assemble piping systems based on blueprints and specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.

2. Maintenance and Repair:
- Inspect and maintain piping systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Repair and replace pipes, fittings, and fixtures as needed.

3. Drawing Interpretation:
- Read and interpret drawings , schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Follow detailed instructions and specifications accurately.

4. Testing and Inspection:
- Test installed piping systems for leaks and other issues.
- Use pressure gauges and other testing equipment to ensure system integrity.

5. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
- Communicate effectively to resolve any installation or repair issues.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant technical training or certifications in pipe fitting.

Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in pipe fitting.
- Experience with various types of piping materials and fittings.

Skills:
- Proficiency in pipe fitting techniques and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
