Job Purpose:
To perform inspections and quality control of all mechanical activities to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), approved project drawings, and specifications. The Mechanical QC Inspector shall support the QA/QC team and actively participate in quality audits, inspections, and documentation control during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Conduct inspections and surveillance of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, tanks, pumps, valves, and supports.
•
Ensure works conform to applicable SAES, including: - SAES-L-132 (Piping), - SAES-A-004 (General Equipment Installation), - SAES-B-006 (Pressure Testing), - and project specifications in the mechanical scope.
•
Inspect welding and fit-up operations; verify WPS/PQR/WQT in compliance with ASME/API standards.
•
Witness hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and flushing of mechanical systems.
•
Verify installation of HVAC equipment and ducting systems, including alignment and support.
•
Raise and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) following the Aramco QMS.
•
Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and ensure mechanical tests are performed as per ITPs.
•
Interface with Saudi Aramco inspectors and participate in joint inspections.
•
Maintain daily inspection logs, prepare reports, and ensure traceability of inspection records.
•
Support final walkthroughs, punch listing, and readiness reviews before mechanical system handover.
Job Requirements:
•
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•
Minimum 5 years of QC inspection experience in mechanical works, with at least 2 years on Saudi Aramco projects.
•
Solid knowledge of Aramco’s IDQMS, SAES, SAEP-1140 (Mechanical Systems), and ASME/API codes.
•
SAP No. Or prior Aramco approval as a Mechanical QC Inspector is preferred.
•
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
•
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and familiar with digital QA/QC tracking systems.
