Linux System Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled **Linux System Engineer** with strong experience in command-line operations and system administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.) using command-line tools.
* Install, configure, and update packages using yum and apt-get.
* Perform Linux kernel updates and system patches.
* Monitor system performance, network traffic, and resource utilization.
* Implement proactive security measures and respond to potential vulnerabilities.
* Troubleshoot system issues, logs, and networking problems.
* Support automation and scripting for system tasks and monitoring.

Requirements:

* Strong proficiency with "Linux CLI" (command line interface).
* Experience with **system administration, package management, and kernel updates.
* Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, and basic firewall configurations.
* Familiarity with **monitoring tools** (Nagios, Zabbix,..etc).
* Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management.
* Scripting knowledge (**Bash, Python, or similar**)
* Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
* VOIP technology is a plus.
