Field Service Technician - CCTV

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Security System Technician with expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of gate barrier systems, along with CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both residential and commercial environments, ensuring that vehicle and personnel access systems operate smoothly, securely, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure gate barrier systems, including:
• Boom barriers
• Automatic sliding/swing gates
• Bollards and turnstiles
• Vehicle access control systems (RFID, ANPR, keypads, remote controls)
Install and service integrated security systems:
• CCTV surveillance (IP & analog)
• Access control (card readers, biometric systems)
• Intrusion/burglar alarm systems
• Intercom and video entry systems
• Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (power, data, control).
• Conduct routine maintenance, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Test system functionality and safety features (sensors, limit switches, loop detectors).
• Train clients on the use and basic maintenance of systems.
• Prepare service reports, installation checklists, and client documentation.
• Ensure installations are compliant with local regulations and safety standards.

Skills Required:
• Experience integrating gate barriers with access control and CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) systems.
• Run and terminate low-voltage wiring (Cat5e/Cat6, coax, power cables).
• Basic understanding of IP networking, PoE, and remote system access.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electronics or security systems are advantageous.
• Previous experience in security systems installation or IT support is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize service calls.

Work Environment:
• CCTV technicians may work in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial locations.
• The role may involve physical labor, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
