A leading company in logistics is searching for the following position, "Workshop Manager"
Job Scope
To handle all workshop tasks including repairing trucks, fabricating metal and painting work, tires change, oil change, buying spare parts, and selling scrap. All these task will be raised to management in monthly reports.
- Handle the update and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments chart with fleet manager and terminal manager for effective and efficient usage of fleet
- Ensure proper document collection and validation before launching or dispatching any truck
- Liaise with operations and business units for potential inquiries and pricing coordination
- Monitor the status of incoming and outgoing deliveries and update client accordingly
- Coordinate with Fleet manager and client on the cargo type to be able to issue proper licenses and cargo declaration forms.
- Coordinate with Fleet Manager and Warehouse Manager when loading and offloading shipments for proper resource and space allocation
- Send dispatching plan to Fleet Manager to secure their trips with GES or 3rd party trucks.
- Secure third-party transporters for additional competitive rates and extra trucks availability
- Secure new business related to transportation/storage/and clearance
- Apply for appointment once needed in seaport and give subject document to drivers.
- Send dispatching data to shipper/consignee/operation team (driver name, mobile number, container number, and truck plate number) for accurate traceability
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Automotive or related field.
- 5 years’ experience managing a vehicle workshop, specialized in diesel engines.
- Extensive Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service and general repairs.
- Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills with administrative competence vital for this role.
- Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to advise fleet managers on the required jobs in a timely, professional manner.

Job Scope
To maintain terminal fleet engines in a good condition by applying well organized preventive and reactive repairments. He will be in direct contact with drivers to ease the process of fault diagnosis and will be reporting to workshop supervisor.
- Responsible for Adjusting equipment and repair or replace any defective parts.
- Responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work.
- Esure that all needed tools in workshop are clean, safe, and well organized.
- Able to read and apply preventive and reactive maintenance SOPs submitted by workshop supervisor.
- Able to diagnose engine faults mainly diesel engines, and raise enquiry to workshop supervisor with needed spare parts accordingly.
- Able to fill out check list suggested by workshop supervisor.
- Diagnose malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues
- Meet with drivers and operators to know what problems they are facing that can help in fault diagnosis and prevent future truck misuse.
- Able to handle and repair most of machineries related to logistics.
- Respect stock inward/outward and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Minimum three years of previous experience in diesel engine maintenance.
- Extensive Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service and general repairs.
- Communication skills to speak with drivers and operators by telephone or in-person.

A leading company in logistics is searching for the following position, "Heavy Truck Driver"
Job Scope
To serve our supply chain logisitcs department in a safe and timely manner.
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
- School diploma
- Valid truck driving license
