Automation Engineer – Duba, Saudi Arabia 101

• Support the automation scope from erection to final commissioning and start-up.
• Review project packages, manuals, and safety plans to align with company standards.
• Oversee installation, configuration, loop checks, FAT/SAT, and testing of automation and instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshoot automation software/hardware and interface systems from various vendors.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and site stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Supervise SAS setup, commissioning activities, and documentation management.
• Lead automation activities and guide NCA teams and subcontractors on-site.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Automation/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction, oil & gas, chemical or power industries.
• Strong background in commissioning and automation system supervision.
• Hands-on expertise in Siemens PCS7, fieldbus technologies (e.g., Profinet, Modbus TCP), and network security.
• Certified electrician or equivalent training (IEC 60364).
• Able to interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control logic.
• Familiarity with third-party system integration and control systems testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus.
• High focus on HSE compliance, problem-solving, and intercultural teamwork.
• Willingness to travel and stay on-site for extended periods.
