CONSTRUCTION MANAGER REQUIRED Previous Experiences In Bridges/tunnels Construction Project

Objectives
• Manage worksites for new construction as well as remodeling projects, coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and objectives
• Provide directions to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork to ensure that quality standards are being met
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and others working on a project
• Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
• Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
• Adherent to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
• Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project
• Delegating work to colleagues within your team
• Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and other managers to report on progress
• Setting targets, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff
• Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labor, risk and project plans to ensure work stays on track
• Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines
• Dealing with contracts and mitigating the impact of any issues
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales

Responsibilities
• collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists; hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers and coordinate their schedules
• Visit sites regularly during construction — including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress visits, punch walks, and closeouts — and attend status and coordination meetings
• Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable and that tools and equipment are in good working condition
• Maintain and update SOW and preconstruction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors
• Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions
• Manage and motivate construction teams, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing issues.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
• Monitor construction quality, ensure adherence to building codes and regulations, and manage potential mistakes and delays.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, documentation, and correspondence.

• Three or more years of experience in managing construction sites
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
• Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for quality
• Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices
• Ability to communicate in more than one language
• Professional certification, such as CCM (certified construction manager), AC (associate constructor), or CPC (certified professional constructor) will be an extra.
• Working knowledge of green building practices



Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Experience at least 3 years as CM and total of 10 years as minimum.
• Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000 and/or NQA-1.
• Construction field experience.
• Teamworking and communication skills
• Excellent mathematical, IT and analytical skills
• Good attention to detail
• Project and budget management skills.
