Store Keeper For Substation Projects

1) Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment in the store, ensuring they are well-organized and easily accessible.
2) Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials and equipment, and manage the dispatch of items as required for construction projects.
3) Regularly check the quality of items in storage, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
4) Keep detailed logs of all store activities, including receipts, issuances, and stock levels, using inventory management software.
5) Liaise with suppliers to arrange timely delivery of materials, and handle any discrepancies or quality issues through concerned authority.
6) Ensure the storage area complies with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
7) Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
8) Handling and disposition of inventory items and keeping warehouse inventory current and accurate.
9) Works closely with procurement department & finance department.
10) Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of store equipment like forklifts, shelving, and computers.
11) Compares deliveries with specifications indicated on purchase orders/contract document and inform concerned for any discrepancy reports for any item not in compliance.
12) Using delivery documentation or delivery notes, prepares items for dispatch to site.

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

We Are Looking For:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably in the construction/electrical industry.
Good understanding of electrical/construction materials and equipment.
Proficiency in Excel, inventory management software and basic computer skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment, whenever required
Basic understanding of safety regulations and compliance in a store or warehouse setting.
