Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the insurance sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. This role involves achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s market presence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and business partners.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives to enhance team performance.
• Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, ensuring consistent performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement.
• Motivate and inspire the team to meet and exceed sales goals.
Client Relationship Management
• Ensure a customer-centric approach in all sales activities.
• Address client concerns and provide solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Develop strategies to improve client retention and renewal rates.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure all sales processes comply with insurance regulations and company policies.
• Oversee policy documentation and ensure accuracy in client agreements.
• Work closely with the compliance team to address any regulatory concerns.
Reporting & Analysis
• Track sales performance and prepare reports for senior management.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights on market conditions and recommend strategic actions.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales in the insurance sector.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Skills & Competencies
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Deep understanding of insurance products and market dynamics.
• Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
• Insurance-related certifications such as CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) or equivalent.
• Sales or leadership training certifications.
