Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers in finding products.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints or refer them to the appropriate personnel.
Provide information about promotions, discounts, and store policies.
Stocking and Inventory:
Unload and unpack deliveries, ensuring the accurate receipt of products.
Stock shelves, racks, or displays with merchandise, ensuring items are neatly arranged and adequately labeled.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the store manager.
Sales Support:
Assist in setting up promotional displays or arranging merchandise to enhance sales.
Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and provide accurate change.
Process refunds, exchanges, or returns according to store policies.
Store Maintenance:
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, clean windows, and empty trash bins as needed.
Arrange products to ensure a tidy and visually appealing shopping environment.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all store safety policies and procedures.
Follow guidelines for handling potentially hazardous materials or equipment.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., age restrictions on certain products).
Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with colleagues to achieve store goals.
Assist in training new staff as required.
Communicate effectively with supervisors about operational needs or challenges.
Other Duties:
Assist in inventory counts or audits as needed.
Participate in opening or closing procedures, such as locking up or preparing registers.
Perform other tasks assigned by the store manager or supervisor.
