Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the financial activities of our factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, with a focus on cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial operations within the factory.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Cost Accounting: Oversee the costing process, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide insights for financial decision-making.

Inventory Management: Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of inventory levels and costs. Conduct regular inventory audits and physical stock checks.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal controls related to financial transactions, accounting practices, and reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including profitability analysis, break-even analysis, and financial projections.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory management.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
