THERMAL DESIGN ENGINEER

OB SUMMARY :



Prepare / review mechanical design of pressure vessels, mechanical and thermal design of heat exchangers as required in the most efficient way with best practices and standards.


MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :



Preparation of mechanical design package, detail engineering and drawings of equipment such as Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Columns as per ASME codes and client’s specifications.
Preparation and review of thermal design package with the knowledges and fundamentals as Vibrations/two phase flow instability ,Condensation mechanism, Thermosiphon and its system optimization, Performance shortfalls/pressure drop, Kettle reboiler operation
Review and checking of drawings and bill of materials.
Responsible for the preparation of detail & design engineering package.
Coordinate with client for timely approval of Engineering Documents and resolve Engineering issues during PO stage.
Attend meetings with client and internal stakeholders as and when required during the project.
Provide preliminary design required during estimations and bidding stage.
Participate and contribute to various audits.


REQUIREMENTS :



Knowledge of ASME Codes and Standards and client specifications.
Knowledge of Engineering processes and materials.
Proficiency in using software like PVElite, COMPRESS, HTRI
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree with specialization in Thermal Engineering will be added advantage.
Relevant experience in Mechanical Design and thermal analysis for at least ten (10) years.
Familiar with ISO-9001 Quality System and other industry based quality control and safety directives
