Production Engineer & Operator - ACRYLIC ACID Plant Exp. Only

Plant background:
Acrylic acid is produced through the catalytic oxidation of propylene, with the aid of oxygen and an acid catalyst. The resulting product is primarily crude acrylic acid, which undergoes further purification processes to yield technical-grade acrylic acid. Distillation and filtration are commonly used methods to remove impurities and water from the crude acrylic acid. Lastly, the highly pure form of acrylic acid known as glacial acrylic acid is obtained through additional purification steps such as crystallization.
On the other hand, butyl acrylate is produced through the esterification of acrylic acid with butanol in the presence of an acid catalyst. This reaction forms the ester compound known as butyl acrylate, which is widely used in the production of paints, coatings, and adhesives due to its excellent adhesive properties and durability.

Production Engineer in an ACRYLIC ACID plant include:

1. Optimizing chemical processes to produce Aqueous acrylic acid, Crude Acrylic Acid, Technical Grade Acrylic Acid, Glacial Acrylic Acid and Butyl Acrylate and handling Sulfuric Acid Recovery Unit as well as wastewater unit.
2. Developing and implementing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
3. Monitoring and controlling production processes to maintain product quality and efficiency.
4. Troubleshooting various equipment and process issues to minimize downtime including, pumps, blowers, compressors, absorbers, strippers, distillation columns, reactors, heat exchangers and so on
5. Collaborating with all supporting functions to improve plant operations.
6. Conducting research and development to improve process efficiency and sustainability.
7. Ensuring compliance with Energy, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
8. Training and supervising plant personnel in operating procedures and safety protocols.
9. Contribute on plant hazard identification and risk assessment tasks.
10. Contribute on initiating and carry-on required plant MOC.
11. Ensuring that all KPIs are meeting once it comes to EHSS and reliability index.
