Mechanical Draftsman

URGENT REQUIREMENT

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to understand design concepts, specifications, and functionalities of components, machines, or systems.
• Research and incorporate applicable engineering standards and design principles into drawings.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) according to industry standards and company drafting practices.
• Create assembly drawings showing how individual parts fit together.
• Develop and detail parts lists, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documentation to support manufacturing processes.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or during design changes.
• Maintain a digital archive of drawings and ensure proper version control.
• May participate in creating and maintaining design libraries for standard components.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, other drafters, and manufacturing personnel to ensure design clarity and manufacturability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software and drafting techniques.

Experience Required
• 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or in a related role
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Education Level
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field

License/ Certifications/ Trainings
• AutoCAD
• SOLIDWORKS Certification

IT/ Software Proficiency
• MS Office, AutoCAD
