Level 2 Rigger

Job Responsibilities:
1. Rigging Operations:
- Plan and execute intermediate rigging operations.
- Rig loads for cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.
- Ensure proper selection and use of rigging gear.

2. Inspection and Maintenance:
- Inspect rigging equipment for safety and reliability before use.
- Maintain rigging gear in good condition and report any defects or wear.

3. Load Handling:
- Determine the weight and center of gravity of loads.
- Calculate and manage load distributions for complex lifts.
- Ensure secure attachment and balanced lifting of loads.

4. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Implement safety measures to protect personnel and equipment.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with industry standards.

5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other team members.
- Communicate effectively to coordinate rigging operations.
- Assist in the training and supervision of Level 1 riggers.

6. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of rigging operations and equipment inspections.
- Document any incidents or near-misses and report to supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications in rigging (Level 2).

- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in rigging.
- Proven ability to handle intermediate rigging tasks and equipment.

- Skills:
- Proficiency in using rigging gear and equipment.
- Strong understanding of load dynamics and weight distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret rigging plans and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
