ELV Team Leader Technician

An ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Leader Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage electrical systems. Here is a brief description of the job responsibilities and requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and public address systems, Fiber Optics.
Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and regulations.

Supervision and Leadership:
Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support.
Allocate tasks and manage workflow to ensure project deadlines are met.
Conduct training sessions for junior technicians on proper installation and maintenance techniques.

Technical Support:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with ELV systems, providing technical solutions.
Perform regular system inspections and preventative maintenance.

Project Management:
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
Prepare and review technical documentation and reports.
Manage inventory and ensure availability of necessary tools and materials.

Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and standards.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and regulations.

Job Requirements:

Education and Certification:
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in ELV systems (e.g., certifications for CCTV, fire alarms).

Experience:
Proven experience in installing and maintaining ELV systems.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.

Skills:
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.

Other:
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel to different project sites as required.
