Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing In-Charge to oversee all aspects of procurement for our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for maintaining efficient supply chains.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary supplies, including food, beverages, equipment, and other operational materials.
- Source suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with chefs and other departments to understand their requirements and preferences, and ensure that orders meet their specifications.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance, quality, and reliability, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to track orders, manage inventory, and analyze data.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, with a commitment to upholding quality and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
