Reports To: Training Manager / Workshop Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training on pipe fitting, including measuring, cutting, threading, assembling, and installing piping systems.
• Teach trainees about different types of pipes and fittings (steel, copper, PVC, etc.) and relevant industry standards.
• Demonstrate the use of pipe fitting tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, threaders, welding machines, and measuring instruments.
• Provide instruction on safety practices, blueprint reading, and quality control.
• Assess trainee skills through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe and organized training environment.
• Update training materials to align with current industry practices and safety regulations.
• Keep accurate records of trainee progress, attendance, and certifications.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to identify training needs and improve programs.
• Qualifications:
• Certification or Diploma in Pipe Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or related trade.
• Extensive hands-on experience in pipe fitting and installation.
• Prior experience as a trainer or instructor preferred.
• Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Understanding of safety procedures and best practices.
