Key Responsibilities:
Precision Machining: Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment to produce and repair precision metal parts for pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
Pump Systems: Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild various types of pumps (e.g., centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible). Fabricate replacement components such as shafts, sleeves, and impellers as needed.
Motor Alignment: Perform precision alignment of motors and pumps using laser and dial indicator methods to optimize performance and prevent premature wear.
Valve Maintenance: Repair, rebuild, and re-machine components for a wide range of valve types, ensuring proper function and sealing.
Utility Infrastructure: Maintain and repair components related to above and underground utility systems, including piping, fittings, and other mechanical components.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues with equipment by observing operation, listening to sound, and inspecting parts for defects and excessive wear.
Reading Blueprints: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure all machined parts meet precise specifications and tolerances.
Quality Control: Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, to verify the dimensions and quality of finished products.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
