Mechanical Engineer

Zahrat Al Wafa Al Arbia Automotive Metal Works is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Automotive Metal Works and Specialized Vehicle Bodies.

*Role Overview*
We are in search of a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in metal fabrication and vehicle body construction to design and implement specialized bodies, which include sliding doors, curtain sides, shutter doors, bifolds, semi-trailers, flatbeds, and integrated tail lifts. This position places a significant emphasis on 3D CAD design, chassis/body integration, sheet metal engineering, and adherence to industry standards.

*Key Responsibilities*
- Design and develop 3D models and technical drawings for specialized vehicle bodies.
- Engineer and optimize body types, including sliding doors, curtain sides, shutter doors, bifolds, and semi-trailers.
- Plan and supervise metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Integrate tail lifts and related mechanical systems into body designs.
- Select appropriate materials for strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with SASO and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Support prototyping, testing, and ongoing design enhancements.

*Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle body design, fabrication, or industrial metalwork.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding, sheet metal design, and chassis integration.
- Expertise in material selection and structural analysis.
