Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from planning and design coordination to execution and completion. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. The Construction Manager oversees the entire construction process, including managing clients, site teams, subcontractors, resources, schedules, and procurement. Additionally, they act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, ensuring that project objectives and specifications are clearly communicated and achieved. By providing strategic oversight, effective leadership, and problem-solving expertise, the Construction Manager plays a critical role in the successful delivery of construction projects and the overall growth of the company.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, schedule, and manage all construction activities on assigned projects.

Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure targets are met.

Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure design intent and project specifications are implemented correctly.

Manage and lead site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and labor, ensuring productivity and safety compliance.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, adherence to standards, and compliance with regulations.

Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, budgets, and procurement plans.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays or cost overruns.

Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and resources, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.

Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all construction sites.

Resolve site issues, conflicts, or technical challenges promptly, maintaining smooth workflow and stakeholder satisfaction.


QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, or equivalent) are an advantage.


EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 to 10 years of proven experience in construction management in contracting or construction companies.
Experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Familiarity with project management tools, construction software, and documentation standards.

Proficiency in construction/project management software (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
