Role: Firefighting / Fire Alarm Technician (Low Current)
Main Responsibilities:
Installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, sprinklers, fire suppression systems, and related low-current systems.
Troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of:
Fire alarm panels (addressable & conventional)
Smoke & heat detectors
Manual call points
Sounders & strobes
Emergency lighting
Reading & interpreting electrical drawings and shop drawings.
Ensuring compliance with NFPA, Civil Defense, and local authority standards.
Coordination with safety officers, contractors, and civil defense inspectors during approvals.

????️ Skills Required
Strong knowledge of ELV systems (Extra Low Voltage).
Understanding of cabling, conduit, and wiring for low-current installations.
Hands-on experience with major fire alarm brands (Honeywell, Siemens, Edwards, GST, etc.).
Ability to use testing tools (multimeter, loop tester, megger).
Familiarity with integration of fire alarm with other systems (HVAC shutdown, lifts, access control).

Diploma / ITI in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or related field.
Firefighting & fire alarm certification (preferred, sometimes required by employers).
Civil Defense approval (in Gulf countries, especially UAE, KSA, Qatar).
2–5 years of experience in fire alarm/firefighting system installation & maintenance.

Driving license (for on-site visits).
Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems).
Basic safety training (like OSHA / NEBOSH awareness).
Ability to work under pressure & attend emergency calls.
