Job Description: Jewellery Designer & CAD Specialist
Department: Design & Product Development
Reports to: Head of Design

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Jewelry Designer with expert-level proficiency in JewelCAD Pro software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming conceptual sketches and ideas into precise, manufacturable 3D models. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between creative design and production, ensuring our pieces are both beautiful and technically sound.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Conceptualization:
• Create original jewellery designs based on market trends, client requests, and creative briefs.
• Produce detailed hand sketches and digital mood boards to communicate design concepts.
3D Modeling with JewelCAD Pro:
• Utilize JewelCAD Pro to build highly accurate and detailed 3D models of jewelry pieces (e.g., rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets).
• Create complex, parametric designs that are optimized for casting, stone setting, and assembly.
• Efficiently manage and organize complex model structures and layers within JewelCAD Pro.
Technical Design & Engineering:
• Apply knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes to ensure designs are feasible, durable, and cost-effective.
• Design functional elements such as clasps, hinges, and stone settings (prong, pave, bezel, channel).
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for the production team.
Prototyping & Revision:
• Work closely with the workshop to review 3D printed prototypes (resin models), identify issues, and make necessary adjustments in JewelCAD Pro.

• Iterate on designs based on feedback from clients, designers, and production managers.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with master jewelers, casters, and stone setters to solve technical challenges.
• Liaise with the marketing and sales teams to present photorealistic renderings for client presentations and marketing materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Proven professional experience as a Jewelry Designer.
• Expert proficiency in JewelCAD Pro is mandatory. A portfolio demonstrating a wide range of complex models built in JewelCAD Pro is required.
• Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing techniques, including casting, molding, finishing, and stone setting.
• Knowledge of materials, including precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) and gemstones.
• Ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Strong conceptual skills and ability to produce hand sketches.
Excellent eye for detail, proportion, and aesthetics.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming design and engineering challenges.
