MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare and bake a variety of breads (e.g., sourdough, baguettes, whole grain) and pastries (e.g., croissants, puff pastries).
2. Follow recipes, production schedules, and portion guidelines precisely.
3. Mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake doughs using appropriate techniques and equipment.
4. Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, proofers, sheeters, and ovens safely and efficiently.
5. Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products to ensure freshness and consistency.
6. Decorate and finish pastries with glazes, fillings, toppings, or icing.
7. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and baking area.
8. Manage inventory of baking supplies, notify supervisor of shortages.
9. Assist in the development and testing of new bread and pastry items.
10. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
11. Provide excellent customer service if working in a retail environment.
12. Ensuring high-quality production, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
Required Experience: 2-3 Years
