Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Fabricate, assemble, and repair steel structures, frames, and components.
Perform various welding processes (Stick/Arc, Flux Core) as required.
Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drills, and bending machines.
Measure, cut, and weld metal to required specifications and tolerances.
Ensure proper joint preparation, alignment, and finishing of welds.
Conduct routine inspections to maintain quality and accuracy of fabricated items.
Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain welding tools and fabrication equipment in good working condition.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards, ISO/ASME codes (if applicable), and company policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a welder and fabricator in a steel fabrication workshop.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
Good knowledge of steel grades, materials, and their properties.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Physically fit and capable of working in demanding workshop environments.
