Building Construction - Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects in line with approved designs, budgets, and timelines.
Oversee day-to-day operations across one or more construction sites, ensuring smooth progress and adherence to project milestones.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project; monitor progress and adjust timelines as needed.
Track project budgets and control costs by identifying risks early and implementing corrective measures to avoid overruns.
Lead on-site construction teams, manage workforce deployment, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all activities.
Perform routine site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
Manage and document project changes, including variations and deviations, and ensure these are assessed, approved, and incorporated appropriately.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and align expectations.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of site activities including daily progress logs, manpower reports, material tracking, and meeting records.
Supervise procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials, tools, and machinery to support uninterrupted site operations.
Address and resolve technical issues, site conflicts, or operational bottlenecks to maintain construction flow and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in a similar role with reputable Grade A or B contracting firms.
Strong track record in managing high-rise buildings, luxury villas, and multi-site project portfolios.
Demonstrated ability to manage large labor forces (300+ personnel) across diverse construction disciplines.
Comprehensive understanding of construction workflows including technical, financial, and administrative aspects.
Proven leadership in setting up new site operations, managing teams, and delivering projects under tight timelines.
Excellent decision-making, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficient in project planning tools and familiar with construction management software (Primavera, AutoCAD, MS Office).
Valid driver’s license is mandatory for site mobility.
