Job Title: Instrumentation and Control Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
- Select appropriate sensors, transmitters, and controllers based on process requirements.
2. Installation and Commissioning:
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure that all systems are installed according to specifications and standards.
3. Calibration and Maintenance:
- Perform calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop maintenance schedules and manage routine maintenance tasks for instrumented systems.
4. System Integration:
- Integrate various control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless automation and control.
5.Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to instrumentation and control equipment.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve process inconsistencies or failures.
6.Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of designs, specifications, test results, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on system performance and recommendations for improvements.
7. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all instrumentation complies with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during installations and operations.
8.Project Management:
- Participate in project planning and management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using instrumentation tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD, PLC programming).
- Strong understanding of control theory, process control, and measurement techniques.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze complex systems and implement innovative solutions.
