Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to manage and maintain legacy IT infrastructure while leading modernization efforts. This role requires expertise in both legacy and modern systems, with a focus on educational technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Legacy System Management: Maintain and troubleshoot aging rack servers and 15+ year old workstations
• Network Administration: Manage and maintain existing network infrastructure in air-gapped environment
• Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain database systems
• Educational Software: Support Turning Technologies ExamView and examination software systems
• Computer Lab Management: Oversee multiple computer laboratories and ensure operational readiness
• License Management: Handle software licensing issues and compliance
• System Migration: Plan and execute migration from legacy systems to modern open-source solutions
• Data Migration: Ensure secure transfer of historical data to new platforms
Required Skills
• Legacy Systems: Proficiency with older Windows Server versions and legacy hardware
• Modern Technologies: Knowledge of current IT solutions and open-source alternatives
• Network Administration: Experience with network maintenance and troubleshooting
• Database Administration: SQL Server, MySQL, or similar database platforms
• Educational Technology: Familiarity with examination and learning management systems
• Problem-Solving: Ability to work with limited resources and aging equipment
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in air-gapped, resource-constrained environments

Ideal Candidate
• Experience with military or educational IT environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills for legacy hardware/software
• Knowledge of open-source migration strategies
• Ability to work independently with minimal internet connectivity
• Arabic language skills preferred

Note: This position involves working with legacy infrastructure while planning for modernization. Candidates should be prepared for unique technical challenges in a specialized environment.
