We are looking for a dynamic Electrical Design and Estimation Engineer who can join our team urgently. We need someone who is an Electrical Engineering graduate or similar with good electrical low-voltage switchgear background and can work independently.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Create accurate, detailed technical plans / drafts for electrical systems using computer-aided design programs to convert specifications and design information from engineers into schematics and blueprints.
2. Must be knowledgeable in preparing drafts and drawings for the following:
a. Power panels such ACB and sub main panels which involve, Bas bar measurement, cutting, bending, fixing of breakers like ACB, MCCB, ELCB, METERS, wiring and fixing arrangements.
b. Control, panels wiring and components fixing arrangements.
c. VFD panels wiring and fixing arrangements, AND motor control centers.
d. DBS wiring and fixing arrangements.
e. STAR DELTA panels, wiring and fixing arrangements.
f. ATS Panels wiring and fixing arrangements.
g. ALL kind of electrical panels preparation and drawings arrangements.
3. Prepare comprehensive wiring diagrams for electrical equipment, power substations and residential and commercial buildings according to project objectives, design information and engineering specifications.
4. Check that final technical drafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format, and verify that calculations, measurements and units are accurate based on initial design information from clients or consultants.
5. Review technical drafts as needed according to verbal or written instructions from project managers, engineering team and clients
6. Submit drawings and other documents to clients or consultants for approval.
7. Make necessary adjustment on the drawings / drafts based on the comments and specifications given by clients and/or consultants then resubmit for approval.
8. Knowledgeable in estimating materials needed for each projects. Must be able to make estimation of busbars and cabling based on the drawings or instructions given by clients and consultants while maintaining the level of company’s target margin.
9. Must be able to address the client’s RFQs and inquiries on a very timely manner.
10. Maintain a monitor file of all inquiries and quotations and send weekly updates to management.
11. Must consider the availability of stocks in making quotation. If in case the client’s requirements is not on stock, the estimator must be able to make alternative suggestions.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements:

1. A bachelor's degree in electrical drafting, drafting design, electrical engineering, or similar.
2. A minimum of two years' experience as an electrical drafter and estimator.
3. Design Drafting Association certification is preferred.
4. Proficiency with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
5. Excellent understanding of a range of electrical generation and transmission systems.
6. Thorough knowledge of electrical safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
7. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills and collaborative abilities.
8. The ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical systems and best practices.
