Job Opportunity: Trainer – Operator (Oil & Gas)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer – Operator to deliver practical and theoretical training for entry-level technicians preparing for careers in Oil & Gas plant operations. This position is ideal for professionals with hands-on field experience and a passion for developing the next generation of operators.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive training aligned with the International Process operation Standard.
• Teach core modules including:
o Process operations and plant systems
o Safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
o Control room operations
o Plant startup, shutdown, and emergency response
• Facilitate 60% hands-on practical training and 40% theoretical instruction.
• Conduct modular assessments (both theoretical and practical).
• Mentor and assess trainee progress toward competency.
• Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and engagement in the training process.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas operations (e.g., field operator, control room operator).
• Prior experience in training or mentoring is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of process systems, safety procedures, and operational protocols.
• Fluent in English ( Level 5 or equivalent preferred).
• competency-based training is an advantage
Preferred Attributes
• Certified Assessor or Trainer qualification (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, NVQ Assessor).
