We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Piping Engineer to oversee engineering and execution of cross-country pipeline projects in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of pipeline routing, stress analysis, materials, and construction support, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams on major EPC or PMC contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all piping engineering activities for cross-country oil and gas pipeline projects (onshore).
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, specifications, and procedures (SAES, SAMSS, SATIP, etc.).
• Develop and review piping design basis, specifications, material selection, data sheets, route alignment sheets, and layouts.
• Oversee pipeline stress analysis, wall thickness calculations, and route optimization.
• Coordinate with process, civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for integrated engineering solutions.
• Approve technical deliverables including isometrics, GA drawings, MTOs, and alignment sheets.
• Interface with clients (Aramco), vendors, and contractors for design reviews and technical clarifications.
• Provide site support during pipeline construction, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
• Review and approve vendor documentation for piping materials and components.
• Ensure timely submission of engineering deliverables and monitor project progress against schedule and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure high quality of engineering deliverables through technical guidance and review.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of piping engineering experience in onshore cross-country pipeline projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Saudi Aramco projects with thorough understanding of Aramco’s design standards and approval processes.
• Experience in EPC / PMC environments is highly preferred.
