Head Of Supply Chain

Job Specifications:
Management of global purchasing, procurement and sourcing activities for raw material packaging, production consumables, traded products, critical tolerance capital equipment and spare parts.
New supplier identification, management and development
Management of policies and procedures related to min/max stock levels to avoid stock shortage or excessive stocking
Monitoring and follow-up of purchase orders and deliveries
Negotiates for the best price and terms and conditions
Building, developing, motivating and multi skilling a diverse range of team members in best practice across supplier selection, negotiation, order placement and contract provision to deliver the required results, ensure the achievement of departmental objectives, and delivering significant contribution and improvements to the bottom line
Establishing and managing Annual Maintenance Contract for a range of BMS and utility equipment services
Planning, purchasing and spot buying of commodity based product groups through close monitoring of LME, PLATTS and CEMEX indices.
Knowledge of shipment, payment terms, LC, interco terms and customs clearance procedures and documentation by air, sea and causeway into the Gulf region.

Job Qualifications:
Degree in Purchasing / Supply Chain Management
Extensive knowledge of sourcing in the Gulf Region, as well as other key regions such as Asia, the Pacific Rim and the Far East
Experience in setting up new end to end supply chains and continually monitoring and developing suppliers
Excellent written and spoken English language (Arabic being an added advantage)
Highly resourceful, logical and realistic to ensure first class time management in line with department objectives and productivity
Capacity to successfully adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and ambiguity, ability to adapt to working in a lean organization.
