Job Title: Truck Fleet Supervisor
Department: Logistics / Transportation
Reports To: Fleet Manager / Operations Manager
Location: Yanbu - Industrial City
Employment Type: Full-Time
Nationality: Pakistani or Indian only
Languages: English, Urdu, Arabic
Marital status: Single - a mandatory requirement


Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Truck Fleet Supervisor to manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and utilization of our truck fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising drivers, coordinating fleet activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Supervision & Operations:
Oversee daily truck operations, including dispatching, routing, and driver assignments.
Ensure all transport activities are executed efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company policies.
Monitor truck availability and allocate vehicles according to operational needs.
Track and report vehicle usage, mileage, downtime, and delivery performance.
Ensure proper loading and unloading procedures are followed to avoid vehicle damage or overloading.

Driver Management:
Supervise, support, and coordinate with drivers to ensure safe and professional conduct.
Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with drivers to review trip performance, safety, and feedback.
Ensure that all drivers follow traffic laws, company rules, and health & safety protocols.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of new drivers.
Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution when needed.

Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
Schedule and monitor regular preventive maintenance and inspections for all trucks.
Liaise with workshops, mechanics, or service providers for timely repair and maintenance.
Maintain records of maintenance, fuel consumption, tire usage, and repairs.
Ensure all vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and meet local regulatory and safety requirements.
Investigate accidents or breakdowns, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle registration, licensing, insurance, and permits.
Keep digital or manual logs of all trips, maintenance, and incidents.
Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, cost analysis, and driver productivity.
Ensure all transport documentation such as waybills, delivery notes, and fuel receipts are properly completed and filed.

Cost & Efficiency Management:
Monitor and control fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
Recommend cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
Work closely with procurement to source quality spare parts and services at the best prices.

Coordination & Communication:
Communicate regularly with the logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure alignment.
Respond promptly to delivery issues, emergencies, or delays and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between drivers and management to address concerns and improve performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years experience in fleet or transportation supervision, preferably in truck operations.
Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operations, route planning, and logistics systems.
Technical understanding of truck maintenance, diagnostics, and workshop procedures.
Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety standards, and driver compliance requirements.
Proficiency in fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license is mandatory; heavy vehicle (HTV) license is an advantage.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.

Work Conditions:
May require availability outside of regular business hours to respond to fleet issues.
Field visits may be necessary to inspect vehicle conditions or attend to emergencies.
Must be physically fit to carry out basic inspections or assist in emergency roadside situations.
