• Control and monitor project costs, including monthly, variable, fixed, and unforeseen expenses, ensuring strict adherence to financial targets and organizational objectives.
• Prepare and manage contracts for all cost accounts, establish detailed budgets, and enforce compliance with approved financial plans and policies.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee cost budgets within defined timelines, implementing measures to prevent overspending and ensure fiscal discipline.
• Track daily budgets, analyze expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial stability; report financial performance to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify budget variations, deviations, or changes, and escalate discrepancies to management for timely resolution.
• Oversee department-wise budgets (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), conduct comparative analysis with historical data, and assess financial performance against benchmarks.
• Monitor budget adherence rates, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve alignment with organizational financial goals.
• Analyze cost variances, investigate root causes, and develop strategies to minimize discrepancies while enhancing financial efficiency.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including cost summaries, forecasts, and expenditure analyses for management review.
• Propose and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize expenditures without compromising operational efficiency or quality standards.
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders across departments to align financial planning with business requirements and strategic objectives.
• Conduct regular audits to verify cost accuracy, compliance with budgetary guidelines, and adherence to financial policies.
• Assist management in financial forecasting, risk assessment, and decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in cost control to enhance financial strategies and processes.
• Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and documentation.
• Train and guide team members on cost control procedures, budget management, and financial compliance to foster a cost-conscious work culture.
• Utilize financial software and tools to streamline cost tracking, reporting, and analysis for improved efficiency and accuracy.
