Turnaround And Shutdown Engineer

Calex Group is currently looking for an experienced Turnaround and Shutdown Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience in the following areas:
• Chemical Cleaning
• De-cruding / De-scaling
• Nitrogen Purging
• Pigging of Pipelines
• Leak Testing
• Pipeline Drying
• Heat Exchanger Cleaning & Maintenance
• Planning and executing shutdown activities in compliance with HSE standards
• Vendor coordination and contractor management
• Preparing detailed shutdown schedules and resource planning

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise all mechanical activities during plant turnaround and shutdowns.
• Develop job plans and risk assessments for critical path activities.
• Monitor on-site execution, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards.
• Interface with operations and maintenance teams to ensure effective execution.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and operational procedures.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Must be available to work on-site during shutdown schedules.
• Generate post-shutdown reports and provide recommendations for process improvement.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in major plant shutdowns/turnarounds.
• Familiarity with plant systems and processes related to exchangers, pigging, and cleaning.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards.
