Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and assist them in completing their purchases.
Answer customer inquiries about products, services, and promotions.
Address and resolve customer complaints or escalate them to a supervisor as needed.
Transaction Management:
Operate cash registers, scanners, and other POS (Point of Sale) equipment accurately.
Process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments efficiently.
Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or credits as necessary.
Cash Handling:
Count and reconcile cash drawer balances at the beginning and end of shifts.
Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly to prevent discrepancies.
Report any errors or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
Product Management:
Assist with bagging or packaging customer purchases.
Verify prices, promotions, and discounts applied during checkout.
Stock and replenish items near the cashier counter, such as bags or impulse-buy products.
Compliance:
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and customer service.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow safety and security protocols to protect both employees and customers.
