Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory movements.
Regularly conduct stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.
Identify and report discrepancies in inventory records.
Stock Control:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
Properly store materials and products according to safety and organizational standards.
Ensure appropriate labeling, tagging, or coding of products for easy identification.
Track the shelf life of perishable goods and rotate stock as needed.
Order Fulfillment and Distribution:
Prepare orders for dispatch or internal distribution as per organizational requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to relevant departments or customers.
Monitor and manage backorders to prevent delays.
Record-Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain an up-to-date record of goods received and issued using manual or digital systems.
Generate and maintain reports on stock levels, usage trends, and other relevant metrics.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of purchase orders, receipts, and issue notes.
Store Organization and Maintenance:
Keep the storage area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.
Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage or loss.
Organize shelves, racks, or bins for maximum space efficiency.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with suppliers to manage orders, deliveries, and returns.
Verify purchase orders and delivery documentation for accuracy.
Provide feedback to suppliers on the quality of received goods when needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling materials.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Report any hazards or incidents to management promptly.
