We are looking to hire a chef who can take responsibility and control in the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards. Below are the details of the role:
Position: Sous Chef or Chef de Partie
Focus Area: Primarily Hot Kitchen, with some Cold Kitchen tasks for plating and desserts.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency.
2. Execute and maintain recipes, including those developed by consultant chefs.
3. Develop and train the kitchen team on preparation techniques.
4. Ensure proper presentation and packaging for delivery orders (critical for our brand).
5. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with kitchen safety standards.
Requirements:
1. Experience:
• Strong hot kitchen expertise (e.g., preparing taco fillings and beverages like hot chocolate).
• Familiarity with cold kitchen tasks such as garnishing and dessert plating.
• Experience with plant-based or fusion cuisines (Mexican-Mediterranean is a plus).
• Prior experience in a leadership role within a kitchen (e.g., Sous Chef or Chef de Partie).
2. Skills:
• Ability to manage a small team and handle day-to-day kitchen challenges.
• Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation and packaging.
• Knowledge of cloud kitchen operations is a bonus.
3. Work Style:
• Hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Flexible and adaptable to new recipes and workflows.
