Job Summary
A Reputed Company seeking a highly qualified and experienced Deputy Safety Manager to join our team at the AlWajh AMAALA project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards. This role requires strong documentation skills, the ability to prepare observation logs, violation logs, and close-out reports, as well as preparing for external audits and submitting regular reports to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement HSE Plans:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE plans, policies, and procedures in compliance with local and international standards.
Ensure all HSE activities are conducted in accordance with the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate observation logs, violation logs, and other HSE-related documents.
Write close-out reports of observations and document related HSE activities.
Submit weekly and monthly reports to the client before the 23rd of every month.
External Audits:
Prepare for external audits conducted by AMAALA representatives on a monthly basis.
Ensure all necessary documentation and records are up-to-date and compliant with audit requirements.
Training and Compliance:
Assist in conducting HSE training sessions for employees and ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Evaluate compliance with local laws and regulations related to HSE.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure all hazardous activities are analyzed, and required preventive measures are implemented.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, or a related field.
NEBOSH certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 lead auditor qualification is an advantage.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or EPC industry.
Proven experience in HSE management, including documentation, reporting, and audit preparation.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in English (written and oral).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: 7,000 SAR per month, paid on the 10th of each month.
Remote Work Allowance: 900 SAR per month, applicable after every two months of service.
Note: The salary and allowance are non-negotiable as per management decision.
