Job Description
An NDT Manager oversees and manages all activities related to non-destructive testing processes within an organization. This role involves ensuring that testing meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards while managing a team of technicians and collaborating with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
o Lead, supervise, and train NDT technicians.
o Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for NDT processes.
o Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
2. NDT Operations:
o Plan, schedule, and oversee NDT inspections.
o Analyze and interpret testing results and prepare reports.
o Ensure testing processes are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
3. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, ISO 9712, API, or others relevant to the sector.
o Maintain certifications and accreditations for the company’s NDT operations.
o Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance are up to date.
4. Quality Control:
o Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address material flaws or defects.
o Recommend corrective actions based on NDT findings.
5. Client and Project Management:
o Communicate results and provide technical expertise to clients.
o Participate in project planning, risk assessments, and audits.
o Support new projects by determining suitable NDT methods.
6. Innovation and Improvement:
o Research and implement new technologies and methods in non-destructive testing.
o Ensure continuous improvement in testing techniques and team performance.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Education:
o A degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field.
o Advanced certifications in NDT (e.g., ASNT Level III, PCN Level III, or equivalent) CSWIP 3.1 are highly preferred.
2. Experience:
o Minimum 3-8 years of experience in non-destructive testing, including leadership roles.
o Proven experience with various NDT methods (e.g., UT, MT, PT, RT, VT, ET).
o Familiarity with industry-specific applications (e.g., aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing).
3. Certifications:
o ASNT Level III or equivalent in one or more NDT disciplines (Ultrasonic, Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant Testing, etc.).
o Additional industry-specific certifications may be required (e.g., API, AWS).
o CSWIP 3.1
4. Technical Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of NDT techniques, principles, and equipment.
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and codes.
o Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to NDT processes.
5. Soft Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
