VMware Engineer

Nair Systems is currently looking VMware Engineer for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher certification is preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in VMware administration.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware solutions in a telecom environment.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience with storage and network technologies in a virtualized environment.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
• Design and deploy VMware-based solutions in alignment with business requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments.
• Plan and execute upgrades and patches to VMware infrastructure.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Monitor and manage the health and performance of VMware environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other IaaS and Technology team members.
Optimization and Performance Tuning:
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies for virtualized environments.
• Analyse and fine-tune system performance and resource allocation.
Security and Compliance:
• Ensure VMware environments comply with security standards and policies.
• Implement security measures and perform regular security audits.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed documentation of VMware configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Produce regular reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.
Collaboration and Training
• Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT professionals.
• Provide training and support to junior team members on VMware-related topics.
