Job Description

Job Title: Safety Manager
Date: 2024.07.02

Duration : Long Term


The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by developing and implementing safety policies and programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role involves evaluating workplace environments, identifying safety risks, and collaborating with management and employees to promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Update safety programs as needed to address changes in regulations or company operations.
3. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
4. Develop and implement corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.
5. Design and conduct safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientation, ongoing training, and specialized training for high-risk activities.
6. Ensure employees are aware of and understand safety procedures and regulations.
7. Lead investigations of workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
8. Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for improvement.
9. Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other relevant regulations.
10. Keep abreast of changes in safety regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
11. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
12. Conduct regular emergency drills and training to ensure employees are prepared to respond to emergencies.
13. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities.
14. Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies.
15. Work closely with management, employees, and safety committees to promote a culture of safety.
16. Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on safety-related matters.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. At least 8 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
3. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
4. Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
Working Conditions:

Office timing as per the management decision should follow. (Office time 8.5-9.5 Fixed)
