JOB VACANCY - TILE MASON

Primary Job Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and material needs.
• Select and prepare surfaces for masonry work, including cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing (if applicable).
• Mix, apply, and spread mortar or adhesive according to industry standards.
• Cut, shape, and install bricks, stones, or concrete blocks using hand and power tools, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and level.
• Install and reinforce masonry features like lintels, arches, and chimneys (depending on experience).
• Repoint existing masonry walls and repair cracks or damage using appropriate techniques.
• Clean and finish masonry surfaces to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with material handling and unloading as needed.
• May train or supervise apprentice masons (depending on experience level).

Experience Expected
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mason or related field.

Education Level
• High school diploma or equivalent

License/ Certifications/ Trainings
• ITI

IT/ Software Proficiency

Personal Attributes
• Experience with various types of masonry materials (brick, stone, concrete block, etc.).
• Knowledge of different masonry construction methods and techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for cutting and shaping masonry materials.
• Strong understanding of building codes and masonry regulations (preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other trades.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
